Tell them that the Tooth Fairy is super busy collecting teeth from lots of other children and won’t have time to write an essay. Writing to the Tooth Fairy is such a lovely exercise. They loved the letters *from* the tooth fairy so much, that they wanted to write letter *to* the tooth fairy in return. So, a few years ago now, I started writing letters from the tooth fairy, to leave by their bed with their shiny coin every time they lost a tooth.Īnd the letters had an interesting side effect. It’s nice to get on board when they’re that excited! The tooth fairy seems to reinforce the idea that losing a tooth is a real childhood milestone moment and makes the whole thing bizarrely exciting. My children have always loved the idea of the tooth fairy – A magical little person with wings that flies to their bedside in the night and makes all that tooth wobbling worth it with a letter and a shiny coin.

I didn't try this, but if I was doing this all the time, it seems like it would be essential. These can be used through Bluetooth to enter the measurements directly into the floorplans in MagicPlan. This is where you likely want a laser measuring device to quickly update the dimensions. Both MagicPlan and Pol圜am allow you to tweak dimensions of rooms, doors, windows, furniture, etc. Polycam also supports photogrammetry where you just take a bunch of photos and it builds a 3D model by interpreting what shape the object could be (I don't know if this is also used in architecture scale things, but it could be interesting for ID projects). MagicPlan has been out for ages and originally just worked off the camera and the accelerometer to help build a floor plan. They both now take advantage of the Roomplan API which Apple introduced in iOS and iPadOS 16. MagicPlan and Pol圜am seem to be the most focused on building a schematic level building model which could be imported into other tools if needed. using a gimbal), but ultimately you'll need to do tape or laser measurements and modify the models that these tools can build, or just model it yourself with the scan as a reference. My suspicion is that the timing in SC is not setting this global variable early enough so it's correctly set when the onLoad event fires. This is the result when I look at the source code after the page displays:įunction sc_form_onload() When the alert pops, all I get is lkreadonly and not the Y value that was passed by the URL. Both latitude and altitude need to be considered to understand Spanish vineyards and wines. This is very important when we think about wine. Spain is the third most mountainous country in Europe (first if we consider the percentage of mountains over the total surface) and the second-highest after France. Over 80 million people arrive every year in Spain and most of them seek to relax at one of Spain´s sandy beaches. The most common image people have of Spain´s landscapes could be summarised as “sandy”. Tinajas are part of the Spanish wine culture, and despite they were neglected for decades, some young wine makers are reintroducing tinajas to once again make wine in Spain with them. Tinajas have narrow openings on the top which leave a very small surface in contact with the air, and oxygen. In Spain, wine was put in clay in what we know as tinajas (made famous by Cervantes in Don Quixote´s book). The Greeks had already thought of sealing the amphorae wine pine resin. Problem solved!īut there were other possible solutions. A solution for this problem, the most obvious one, was to develop rancio style wines and to acquire a taste for those. In all cases, oxidation posed always a great problem. But the wines that were produced inland, far from the Mediterranean coast (more driven towards commerce) could have had a bigger resemblance with wines we know today. Wines were heady to following the Mediterranean tradition. Rancios wines were totally oxidized and heavily reduced, becoming safe in terms of storage. We can think of them as either sweet or rancios (rancid). The first wines produced in Spain were strong. As the Reconquista progresses from north to south the role of wine increased all over the country. It took seven centuries to reconquer the territories and during those centuries wine was still produced by local farmers but alcohol was mainly used for medicine, perfumes, or cosmetics. The Godos followed Romans after the Western Roman Empire fell in the VI century but at around 711 Spain was invaded by the Moors that arrive from Afrida and that by 722 had occupied most of what we know today as Spain. Romans invaded areas where local Iberos and Celts lived and Romans introduced the fermentation of wine in stone troughs (rests of such throughs can be still found in many areas in Spain), and the conservation of wine in clay containers like amphoras. Why travel wine from so long if it could be produced there? Not far from the coasts of Gadir Phoenician traders found a perfect place to harvest grapes and this gave bright to the “triangulo de Jerez de La Frontera”, the golden triangle of Jerez, which consists of San Lucar de Barrameda, Jerez de la Frontera, and El Puerto de Santa María and which today the sherry wine route.Īfter the Phoenicians, the Romans ruled in most of Spain and Romans enjoyed the pleasures of Baco so much… vineyards were planted, wine was produced in many different areas of Hispania. When the Phoenicians arrived they brought wine from other parts of the Mediterranean. Torchlight 2 is more my free-for-all, modded ARPG with the more stylized atmosphere and generally more easygoing gameplay, even on the tougher difficulties. (If the mistake is like, 15 dots back? Yeah, that's a lot of orbs.) PoE is my 'Play with numbers and do crazy builds' with it's ginormous skill tree, with full knowledge of 'I'm building a new character to do something new on, screw respeccing.' Changing builds can be a bit overwhelming after awhile. PoE, despite it being online and not moddable, gives me the 'Real Sequel to Diablo 2' feel in a way, in it's whole overall atmosphere and everything. I lean slightly more toward Torchlight 2 myself, but I really feel that the two games scratch different ARPG itches. So theres my persepctive, how about yours? Overall theyre both good games and both well worth playing but I would pick Torchlight 2 if I had to choose one of them. Other than that though the feel of the combat is excellent, loot is plentiful and even in the low 30s I'm still leveling at a brisk pace. Much more of a traditional D2 style skill system but for some reason you can only respec the last three skill points you earned, bit of a minus point as it isnt explained until you talk to the NPC which meant I got locked into a shotgun build because I waited too long to switch out of it. D2s gemstone system also makes a welcome return with some tweaks and I absolutely love both the pet designs and the option to send your pet back to town without you if all you want after you sell stuff is more potions or scrolls. Fortunately they seem to have got the balance exactly right betweeen realistic and stylised, although the customisation options are a bit lacking. Graphics are generally a bit better than POE but it does go a bit more towards the WoW/anime style in the character designs. Torchlight 2 has more of a steampunk vibe which I really like and additional weapon choices includes pistols, shotguns and a hand held cannon. Overall I enjoyed playing but eventually the fact I really didnt like the feel of the combat and I also felt it took too long to level kinda spoiled it for me. Difficulty curve is pretty balanced although I did have to grind a couple of areas and I hear the final boss pretty much requires grouping to defeat unless you have a very buffed build, group system seems very similar to D2 but is done in the instance rather than at logon. You can get respec items from vendors to correct any mistakes and as far as I know theres no limit to how far back you can go as long as you have enough of the items, so changing builds is fairly simple once you get going. You can also use pretty much any type of weapon with any type of character, although grid placements for boosts mean it is easier to specialise early on in certain weapons depending on class (using an off class weapon means spending a few grid points moving to the grid area that covers that fighting style and different classes start in different areas of the grid). POE definetely has more of an interesting and complex skill system, combining basic stat boosts from a grid with Jewels that contain the skills and level with use. Heres my impressions from playing both games to the mid 30s in level on my first character. So wanting to scratch my diablo itch but not wanting to deal with the huge amount of hassle involved with diablo 3 Ive recently tryed out both Path of Exile and Torchlight 2.
